Biography
Professor John Nauright (PhD at Queen’s University, Canada) has held academic positions in New Zealand, Australia, Denmark, Scotland, the USA, Barbados, England, Ghana and Russia. He has published over 20 books and 150 articles on sport, health and fitness in society. He is the former Director of the Centre of Sport, Tourism and Leisure Studies at the University of Brighton in the UK and the Academy of International Sport at George Mason University, USA. He is currently Professor and Chair, Department of Kinesiology, Health Promotion and Recreation, University of North Texas, USA and Honorary Professor, Lomonosov Moscow State University.
