Dr. Pierdanilo Sanna obtained his Degree and his Master Degree in Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery in Italy . He’s worked as a Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon in different and relevant public Italian Hospitals ( Milan, Tourin and Rome) dealing with Traumatology, Sport Injuries performing more than 2000 surgical treatments in his career. He is sub-specialized in Joint Replacement (Knee-Hip-Shoulder) and in Knee and Shoulder Arthroscopic procedures ( ACL reconstruction, meniscal torn and cartilage defects repair / Cuff dysfunctions and tears, Shoulder instability, Frozen shoulder, etc). From 2000 until 2011 he was selected as Federal Doctor for the National Short Track Skating Team.

He became the physiotherapist of professional Sports teams, elite athletes, and major sports events, such as Rio2016 Olympics. Also, he owns a PT Clinic and a Fitness Center at his home town. Further, he is the general coordinator of an Annual Sport Traumatology Conference at his State. Finally, he is the Managing Director of a Sports Research Institute in Brazil.

Dr. Dimitrios Tsoukas is the Director of the Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Clinic, Mediterraneo Hospital,Athens, Greece. He served in the same position at the biggest private hospitals in Greece for the last 15 years. He worked in Brussels Belgium and Bucharest Romania. He is a regurarly invited speaker and cadaveric lab instructor for arthroscopic surgeries worldwide. He is the head doctor of the professional basketball team AEK Athens and the National volleyball and beachvolleyball teams.

Dr. Gilles Klein has completed his Ph.D. in Sport Sciences, he is expert for several intergovernmental organizations on sports, education, health and cultural matters; he is the Director of publications and of collections. Gilles Klein is the President and the Founder of the World Centre of Excellence - Physical Education Sports and Leisure for the MDGs (CEMEPSL-OMD). He is a Secretary General of the World Sports Alliance (WSA) Intergovernmental Organization (IGO) whose mission is to support the socio-economic development of the Member States, National Poverty Reduction Strategies and the well being of the populations within the framework of the MDGs through the dissemination of after school and extracurricular educational youth programs, training programs for sport executives, and the construction of sport infrastructures for the youth.

An Olympian, ‘physical activity guru’ and world-renowned sports scientist, Greg is a Professor in Applied Sport & Exercise Science at Liverpool John Moores University and a UK authority on Exercise Physiology, Sports Performance & Rehabilitation which includes having extensive professional experience assessing, treating & improving the performance of athletes & sporting enthusiasts ranging from celebrities attempting their first mountain summit to Gold medal seeking Olympians. A former modern pentathlete, Greg competed in two Olympic Games and has won European bronze and World Championship silver medals. After his athletic career he studied for his BSc (Hons) at Brunel University, completed his MSc in human performance at Frostburg State University in the USA and completed his PhD at St. Georges Hospital Medical School and the University of Wolverhampton, where he was research co-ordinator. Greg is a Fellow of the British Association of Sport and Exercise Science (FBASES) and the American College of Sports Medicine (FACSM) and was the Chairman of the charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) from 1999-2009. As one of the preeminent sport and exercise scientists nationally and internationally, Greg has worked as consultant physiologist in a large number of Olympic and professional sports. Prior to his appointment at Liverpool John Moores University, Greg has been the Director of Science and Research at the English Institute of Sport (EIS; 2004-2006), and the Director of Research for the British Olympic Association based at the Olympic Medical Institute (2001-2004).

Dr Ashokan Arumugam is an Assistant Professor in Physical Therapy at the College of Applied Medical Sciences, Majmaah University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He received his PhD from the School of Physiotherapy, University of Otago, New Zealand in May 2014. He has sixteen peer-reviewed publications in international journals. He has worked as a clinician and/or an academic in various capacities at many institutions in India and New Zealand. He is an editorial board member of eight international peer-reviewed journals. He has been a peer-reviewer of manuscripts for more than twelve international journals. He has also been a resource person for seminars/workshops on Manual Therapy and Manuscript Writing at some institutions in India.

His current research focus is on the following areas: musculoskeletal injury prevention and rehabilitation, hamstring injuries, motor control, gait analysis, surface electromyography, low back pain, physical activity analysis in children, and Down syndrome.

Dr Ahmad Alkhatib is the Head of Sport and Exercise Science Division at Abertay University and an Associate Professor Exercise Metabolism and has over 16 years experience which included several leading academic positions including Suffolk, Lincoln, Greenwich and Sheffield-Hallam Universities. His PhD in Exercise Physiology and Metabolism and MSc in Sport Science (Health and Fitness) were awarded from the University of Essex, and he has over fifty research publications. His current research focuses on optimizing health and exercise performance, through novel nutritional and exercise interventions, particularly herbal supplements during exercise. Dr Alkhatib is a fully-registered Nutritionist (RNtur) and an accredited Sport Nutritionist (CISSN).

Salaheddin Sharif has completed his MBCHB, MD from Arab Medical University, Libya, general surgery residency at University Teaching Hospital, and MS in clinical exercise physiology from West Virginia University, USA. He is a sport medicine physician for the Libyan Football Federation in Benghazi, Libya and a registered clinical exercise physiologist at American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). He is a Lecturer in the Physiology Department at the University of Benghazi, School of Medicine in Libya. His focus is pre-participation screening of athletes, functional assessment, cardiopulmonary rehab, weight management, sports nutrition, and injury prevention. He includes sports as essential part of his life and has earned a black belt from the International Karate Organization KyokushinKaikan – I.K.O Matsushima.

Dr. Mohan is board certified in orthopaedic spinal surgery. He is trained in and has performed all aspects of orthopaedic spinal surgery, from minimally invasive surgery to the treatment of complex deformities and metastatic tumors in adults and children. His medical interests include cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine surgery. He takes a conservative and multi-modal approach in addressing each patient's spinal conditions. Dr. Mohan strives to educate his patients on their conditions and involves them throughout the decision making process. In addition to treating adult spinal disorders, Dr. Mohan's practice encompasses spinal conditions in children, with special interest in spinal deformity and complex reconstruction in all age groups. Dr. Mohan is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago's College of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery. He completed his Orthopaedic Spine Surgery fellowship at the University of California Davis and the Shriner's Hospital for Children of Northern California. Dr. Mohan received a broad exposure to spinal surgery, from minimally invasive spinal fusion surgery to complex anterior and posterior spinal fusions for spinal deformities. He also had the opportunity of treating children with complex congenital, neuromuscular and idiopathic deformities at the Shriner's Hospital. Dr. Mohan is a member of the AO Spine Society, the North American Spine Society, and the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. Mohan's practice encompasses spinal conditions in children, with special interest in spinal deformity and complex reconstruction in all age groups.

Kaukab Azeem is currently a Faculty at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. He has strong expertise in lecturing fitness/ health education, nutrition, sport activities, weight training, and other health & physical education courses. He has produced many outstanding bodybuilders of national and international reputation, trained many top sportsmen as a fitness coach. He has strong background in fitness & bodybuilding as a former bodybuilder and was an International fitness & bodybuilding (AFBF) Coach/Judge & a university chief coach. His research work has a focus on strength training, aerobics, fitness performance, and changes in body composition. He is also serving as a supervisor for students MPhil and PhD program. He has published numerous papers in scientific journals, and also attended more than 30 international conferences around the globe including pre-Olympic congress in China 2008 and London 2012.

Introduction: Resistance training (RT) is also known as strength or weight training. RT is very beneficial to all athletes. (Behringer, 2010) reveals that the resistance training serves as the dynamic force for a healthy life and is the key role for improving athletic performance in various sports. The purpose of this study was to find out the influence of resistance training on health and selected physical variables among college males.

Caren Diehl is the head sport psychologist at Transform Specialist Medical Centre in Dubai. In 2002 she received her BSc at the University of Glamorgan, her M.Ed. in 2005 from Temple and her PhD was received in 2010 from the University of Wolverhampton. Dr. Caren has over 7 years work experience, and has gained her experience working in Germany, India the USA, the UK and now the UAE. Dr. Caren has worked with athletes from a variety of sports such as but not limited to: boxing, golf, running, soccer, stand up paddle, surfing, swimming, tennis, triathlon, and weight lifting. Her vision is to help develop and create mentally strong athletes in the UAE who go on to becoming champions.

Paulo Marchetti is Supervisor of Human Movement Sciences Graduate Program at UNIMEP and has over 16 years experience in researching stretching, resistance training and biomechanics. He is Post-doctoral Research Fellow in the Institute of Orthopedics and Traumatology at Medical School (USP), PhD in Biomechanics and Motor Control and MSc in Kinesiology (Biomechanics and Motor Control) at USP, Specialist in Exercise Physiology and Physical Training at UNIFESP, and he has over fifty research publications. He is a NSCA member, Cybex Institute Member, and Chief Editor in section of Sports Medicine of the International Archives of Medicine.
